Welcome to Pittsburgh’s Official Parking Chair Museum. We’ve compiled this gallery to celebrate a local phenomenon that has become the universally accepted no parking sign in the Burgh – or should we say “sNOw parking” sign. Thanks to the Blizzard of 2010, the streets of Pittsburgh are starting to look like a cross between Ikea and a flea-market. Help us add some witty captions to the pictures below…
If you’re proud of your parking chair, send a picture to snOMG@boringpittsburgh.com and we’ll feature it here!

This is BELLY LAUGHING hilarious!!! I’m not sure the ironing board or shopping buggy should count!! But, you’ve got to give people credit for being original!!! Thanks for the great laugh during this ridiculous winter!!
I felt like I was looking at a Pittsburgh Chair centerfold spread… dirty thoughts came to mind each picture LMAO.
LMAO
I’m not a Pittsburghian so I don’t know… Is this a snow related phenomenon or is it older than that?
Oh nevermind, I got my answer… Thanks Wikipedia!
Great work, this is hilarious. I’ll be sending a pic of my chair soon. And I think we’re about to get part III of Snowmageddon.

OMG OMG OMG I work is just interfering with my stalking, I mean reading. thanks for sharing! Do you think that people save chairs just to put out to hold parking spaces? Hmmm, maybe there is a market for parking space savers, too bad Billy Mayes is dead he could sell them. I keep expecting to see a person and some beer in one.
