Can you imagine Pittsburgh Steelers driving these to training camp?
This is old news, but @capnmorley brought it up. In episode 3 of the Cap’n Morley Show, the Cap’n called out the Steelers for arriving at training camp in a fleet of Mini Coopers. Seriously though, what were they thinking? And how much did P & W Motors pay them? Just kidding, no one in their right mind would want to use Ben Roethlisberger as a brand ambassador for Mini unless they were looking to destroy the brand – besides, these guys obviously would have looked much better in Smart Cars. Eminem is a known Detroit Lions fan, but he probably would’ve ripped Ben Roethlisberger even if he was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. The best selling artist of the decade, mentioned Big Ben in a freestyle called “Despicable“.
F*** that I’d rather turn this club to a ballroom brawl
Get rowdy as Roethlisberger in a bathroom stall
The freestyle is over Drake’s “Over” and Lloyd Banks’ “Beamer, Benz or Bentley” and was first released on Eminem’s manager, Paul Rosenberg’s, site RapRadar.com and hit the web like a wildfire – even local news stations covered it. Let’s be honest though, Eminem went easy on Big Ben. In fact, it’s more press for Roethlisberger!

Joseph-Beth Booksellers in South Side closed the doors of their Carson Street location on February 22nd… and moved about a block away (to the corner of S. 27th Street and Sidney) on the 27th. While Joseph-Beth Booksellers was a favorite independent bookstore among many Pittsburghers, the new location might change that. Don’t get us wrong, it’s still a nice place to buy books and magazines, but the new store is has one floor and feels much smaller. It doesn’t help that a lot of the small space is taken up by non-book related gift items. Continue Reading >>
This is old news but in case you haven’t seen this video from Ashley Klinger (aka productsofhearts) have a look on the TV above. Ashley is a dance major at Point Park University and was on her way to an audition when she got stranded overnight at the airport during Snowmageddon 2010. Her video has become a hit on YouTube and already racked up close to 25,000 views!
Does this remind you of that Tom Hanks movie Terminal?
My adventures in the Pittsburgh International Airport during the worst snow storm of the century. After arriving late for a flight at 7:40 PM to LGA I decided to stick around my gate until my flight at 5:40 and had a BLAST!
The old entrance to the clubs... there used to be a ramp there.
We recently reported that Matrix Nightclub was shut down and it got us talking about other clubs that are no longer a part of Pittsburgh’s nightlife. Does anyone remember Tequilla Willies? It was located on Smallman Street in the Strip District, except it wasn’t actually on Smallman Street – Tequilla Willies was on a barge! Continue Reading >>
