What used to be an integral member of Industrial America, has now become a piece of art… or should we say a place of art. The rusty old mill has been transformed by artists of all niches. It has become a canvas for graffiti, a theme for musicians, a setting for videos, a subject for photographers, and if everything goes as planned, it will one day serve as a national park.

Looking Ahead

The Carrie Blast Furnace has weathered many storms since the 1880′s, yet proudly stands 92′ tall with optimism for what the future holds – for the land it sits on, for Pittsburgh, and for America. Thankfully there were a few folks patiently waiting for the skies to clear up, so the rest of us could experience the largest and brightest moon of the year…

Free Parking in Pittsburgh

Free Parking in Pittsburgh

So far, the map references permit free and meterless streets in popular neighborhoods like Southside, Oakland, Squirrel Hill, and Shadyside. This is a collaborative effort, so if you know of some free parking zones in the Burgh feel free to edit the map and add it in… just watch out for the street sweeper!

Shit Pittsburghers Don’t Say

As a response to the Shit People From Pittsburgh Say video we posted earlier this week, another video surfaced about none other than… the shit people from Pittsburgh don’t say. We swear this is the last ‘shit people say’ or ‘shit people don’t say’ video we’re going to post. Ever.
