Breaking News: Even The Sun Thinks Pittsburgh Is Too Boring, Admits To Hanging Out Over Other Cities More Frequently

The sun was a tough star to get a hold of for commenting on its lack of presence over Pittsburgh, but we were able to track it down for 5 minutes in between rain showers this afternoon. Those 5 minutes turned into a heated discussion which ultimately ended with the sun emphatically announcing that it doesn’t hang out over Pittsburgh is because it’s “too boring.”

Pittsburgh Weather Forecast Update: Tornado Watch

It's boring with or without a tornado...

Earlier we posted the Boring Pittsburgh weather forecast for any given day. As predicted, it went from being a beautiful day to a depressing afternoon. We might even get some tornado action by this evening.

Which brings up an interesting phenomenon here at BPGH…

As soon as the word “tornado” flies off the weatherman’s tongue, a cyclone of messages and tweets blow in about how there’s a tornado watch and now Pittsburgh suddenly isn’t boring anymore! Dear friends, we wish you were right. This reaction is a result of denial. It is an anti-boredom mechanism that takes over you. In fact, it’s even more boring because tornados are dangerous.

But you know what’s not boring? Watching yinzers make funny videos about them.

Alright, it’s hailing reeeally bad right now.
We got a twister, you see that twister?
DO YOU SEE THAT TWISTER?
(On the phone with his mom now)
Hello? yeah.
There’s a tornado right over our house ma.
It’s a tornado.
Ma, it’s a it’s a huge tornado.
I’m getting it on video tape.
I’m inside mom (no he’s not), I gotta go.
I’m gonna shut the door, and shut it and lock it up.
It’s right above us mom.
It is humongous.
