In case you missed the 2010 International Auto Show because of the snow, Pitt News reporter, David Beitzel give us a mini tour of the show – with a great sense of humor.
The auto show ran between February 11th and 15th at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in downtown Pittsburgh. Surprisingly, they kept the doors open all throughout the blizzard.
So what’s it gonna be, the Smart Car or the monster truck?

The Pittsburgh Auto Show is a joke. I learned some time ago that auto shows are classified……the higher the classification (A, B, C, ect.) the more extensive they are in terms of the volume of cars shown, number concept cars, displays, etc. The Pittsburgh show is one of the lower classifications and does not include much of the stuff thats really interesting. When a new car is shown it’s usually only the “stripper model” instead of one people really want to see. All this being said…….if you’re a car person, like me…. you’re much better served to check out the auto shows in Cleveland, Philly, Detroit, or elsewhere because the Pittsburgh Auto Show is a snoozer!!
