Bike Pittsburgh Tweed Ride - Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 3 pm

No, it’s not Halloween, but you can expect have just as much fun dressing up.  This weekend will be Pittsburgh’s very first Tweed Ride brought to you by Clankworks, BikePGH, and Piper’s Pub.

For those who don’t know what a tweed ride is, it’s a phenomenon that’s been sweeping the country since the early 1900’s.  Riders dress in their finest tweed, mount their pedalcycles, and take a leisurely ride through town.  Pipes and krimpets are encouraged.

No tweed in your current wardrobe? No worries, just hit up your local Goodwill or some trendy second hand shops like Eons in Shadyside.
