Quest for the Burgh’s best burger

Unbeknownst to many, there exists an entire website dedicated to rating every possible burger joint in Pittsburgh. That site is none other than the aptly named Pitts-Burgers.com. The hamburgler behind the project is on a quest for the greatest burger in the Burgh:
A great burger is much more than just beef and bread; it’s a lifestyle. Every burger is different, some good, some bad, and some boring. The well informed consumer looks at factors like texture, quality, quantity, presentation, accompaniments, service, temperature, and most importantly, taste. I have had thousands of hamburgers in my day, and at this point, I consider myself an expert. So I have set out about the city of Pittsburgh in search of the best burger. I’ll update as I search, rating the burger places as I try them, and offering my opinion on where I think the best bite is.
Of the 48 joints reviewed so far, Buffalo Blues had the worst burger in the city with a low score of 2.9. While the rating system is admittedly BS, the formula is well-thought-out and more sophisticated than other restaurant review sites. Disagree with the burger breakdown? Simply fill out an official review sheet here and send it in with your detailed experience.
@PittsBurgers is great at what it does and doesn’t take itself too seriously. We appreciate that the website is homely and easy to skim through. The boxy table design is reminiscent of the internet of the 90′s, but if it were any other way it wouldn’t be the same. Next time you’re in the market for a good burger, we recommend referring to The Burger List first.
