That depends. Would that give the forum access to my Facebook? My Twitter is open but my Facebook is not so I was curious how it works when you use it as a login.

It would not let forum members see your Facebook profile, but you would be giving the forum permission to access the info it needs to create your account. The same way it does if you use the Facebook Connect feature in the comments section on the main Boring Pittsburgh articles.
If we go ahead and inplement something like this for people to register and login using their social networks, it would probably include Twitter too so you could choose.

You can now log into the forum with your 3rd party accounts. We'll see how it goes.
For those of you who have already created an account the standard way, logging in with a 3rd party account will create another account for you under that name. So keep this in mind.
If you experience any issues with the social login please register the regular way and report the issue in this thread.

Thanks. I wasn’t sure how it worked when you used it. I use Twitter all the time to connect to things. Since I already registered tho I think I will keep my current name, it’s easy LOL
