2012 Pittsburgh Marathon
Around 25,000 people ran through the streets of Pittsburgh on Sunday, and they invited 50,000 of their friends to spectate from the sidelines with their Big Gulp cups full of Mountain Dew. Were you among them? Or, were you one of the suckers stuck in traffic because of the 2012 Pittsburgh Marathon?
Perhaps you were one of the lucky ones that caught a free ride on the ultra-useful North Shore Connector. The marathon was the first major event since the opening of $517 million hole-in-the-ground, so we all know how happy the mayor must’ve been.
Big congratulations to the fastest runner of the day James Kirwa. He crushed the race with a time of 2 hours, 14 minutes, 9 seconds. Just in case you think you could beat his time, the course map is posted below.
