Russell Crowe is in town filming his next movie called “The Next Three Days” (set for release in 2011). He’s been known to ride his bike to the set every day and chill out with Pittsburghers at local bars and enjoy live music. But, the coolest news about Mr. Crowe so far is that he is apparently a Pirates fan! @mandajayne017 took an awesome pic of the man in his Pirates jacket!
I must say I am impressed and a bit surprised by Mr Crowe.
I read somewhere that he was not looking forward to Pgh weather, and I thought “oh here we go, another star coming in a bashing Pittsburgh”.
But so far, all that I have seen and read have been very positive. He is handling himself well and seems to be making the most of a potentially difficult shoot (coming from Australia and enduring the winds, rain, cold and snow of Pittsburgh)
There is a video on You Tube of him addressing students at Duquesne University and he handled them with respect, while still allowing them to watch the filming.
