The Shepard Fairey: Supply and Demand exhibit at The Andy Warhol Museum is over but his artwork is still lingering around. If you are wondering how he got those creepy looking faces all over the buildings around town, watch the TV above as he and his crew hit up the Brillobox in Lawrenceville. He also talks a little about the difference between the art community in Pittsburgh and New York (and how the Burgh is better!).

I feel like an idiot. I thought they painted those things everywhere.
Fairey BLAH. I can’t believe that this “legitimate” “street artist” was even invited here to have his people do his work. There are plenty of street artists in Pittsburgh that get no love. What happened to Mook? They ruined that kid. He goes back to jail for life if he ever touches a can of paint again, but somehow Fairey – the biggest sell-out of them all – is allowed to put his derivative crap up all over our city? This city needs to look inside its own borders instead of importing talent. Fuck LA
