Stush the Southside Snowman Lyrics

It’s Winter in the ‘burgh, my friends
And the Southside sparkles in white
The children laugh and play at night
While Jimmy rolls the snow.

He builds a mighty snowman
And makes him nine feet tall
He calls him Stush and dresses him up
With pride, in black and gold.

Stush the Southside snowman is jolly, tall and bright,
A scarf and cap of gold and black brings him magically to life
and he’ll tell you about the flats and slopes and the teams he loves with pride
Not to mention the food, the music and view of the City’s Southside.

There’s a hockey game in Burgh tonight
on this cold and frosty eve.
When they score a goal he can hear them cheer
And joins in the chant. “Let’s Go Pen’s!”

On football Sundays he’ll dance a jig
for his all-time favorite team
When they score and win he’ll swing his towel
And scream out in the streets “Here we Go Steeler’s, Here we go!”

Stush the Southside snowman is jolly, tall and bright,
A scarf and cap of gold and black brings him magically to life
and he’ll tell you about the flats and slopes and the teams he loves with pride
Not to mention the food, the music and view of the City’s Southside.

He smiles and waves all through the day
While the children run and play
Folks drive by, see a twinkle in his eye
Cause the playoffs start today!

Spring will soon be here again
And the flats will spring to life
With a great big smile, Stush waves goodbye
And slowly melts to ice.
