Here’s the deal. Forget the NFL and football for a minute. Imagine you’re on the field of life with Troy Polamalu. The game is Tackle Poverty in a league called Focus North America. The goal is to influence 10,000 people to give a little something to help people who need it. In this game, everyone involved is a winner. After all, the football season just so happens to coincide with the season of giving!
How to play
In an effort to raise money for those in need, we’re calling on you to become a team leader and share this campaign with your family and friends. All you have to do is make a donation of $10 or more, then take a few moments to create a fundraising page here and start drafting tacklers to your team. The tacklers on your team contribute donations that go toward providing homeless and less-fortunate individuals with hot meals, clothing, household goods, and assistance in getting jobs and stability back to their lives.
Win awesome prizes
- Convince 25 new tacklers to join your team to get a free Tackle Poverty t-shirt
- Recruit 43 new tacklers for a Steelers poster signed by Troy Polamalu
- Influence 100 new tacklers to join your team and you will receive a jersey signed by Troy. In addition, you will also be entered into a drawing (on December 2nd) for a chance to win 2 tickets to a Steelers game!
