Today was a big day for the Steelers Superfan (also known as Lem Apperson) who was recently accepted into CMU’s upcoming art gallery show dedicated to all things Steelers related. The exhibition is called WHATEVER IT TAKES: Steelers Fan Collections, Rituals, and Obsessions and will premiere in Fall 2010. The Steelers Superfan made his exciting announcement on Twitter (under the alias @lemapp) where he also attached the above pic of his getup. You can check out his costume site here. All we gotta say is, don’t mess with the Steelers, the fans of the Steelers, and especially don’t mess with the Steelers Superfan. Congratulations on getting into the gallery!
The Miller Art Gallery at Carnegie Mellon University is still looking for other Pittsburgh Steelers-related art or homemade creations that they can include in the show. If you are a Steelers fanatic and think you might have something special to contribute, check out their Facebook page and post it there.
Do you (or someone you know) have any Pittsburgh Steelers-related art or homemade creations like: tattoos, customized cars, lawn ornaments, crafts, handmade signs, elaborate tailgaiting rituals, etc.? Post links, works, videos, photos, whatever here!

Whatever It Takes: Steelers Fan Collections, Rituals, and Obsessions presents the participatory popular culture of Steelers fandom. The exhibition, a first of its kind, focuses not on fans as consumers, but on fans as producers—a creative force that modifies dominant culture into something much more personal, and collectively creates the Steeler Nation.
