The Boston Market on Baume Blvd in Shadyside is boarded-up today after G20 protesters did a run-by and threw rocks through almost every window. Tihs was after a larger group was dispersing from a parade-style protest in Lawrenceville. The Mini Cooper dealership and KFC were among others in the area that had windows broken. The Quiznos on South Craig Street in Oakland was one of the targeted businesses during the G20 Protests/Riots. Almost all of their windows were busted by protesters weilding hamers. The Quiznos, a franchise business, posted a note on the door stating that their insurance will not cover riot damage. The notice also boasted “Please forgive the mess caused by the ‘Peace Loving’ ‘Save the Earth’ G20 Summit Protesters,” the sign said. “Even with broken windows, Quiznos Food is still the best!”.
