Abduction in Theaters Now

Abduction with Taylor Lautner is finally in theaters and Boring Pittsburgh encourages you to go see it! From what we have witnessed in the behind the scenes footage, Lautner has really proven himself as an action star in this John Singleton directed film. Besides, even if you think you don’t like the actor, simply because he played a werewolf in a teen movie, you should still support movies made in Pittsburgh.

Taylor Lautner’s New “Abduction” Movie Poster

Taylor Lautner and Pittsburgh: New 'Abduction' Poster!

Taylor Lautner and Pittsburgh: New 'Abduction' Poster!

Check out the Burgh sitting pretty behind Taylor Lautner in the latest version of the “Abduction” movie poster.

It’s safe to assume that the designers read Boring Pittsburgh. Notice how Taylor’s leg is positioned in a way that blocks out the four ugly letters on the Steel Building? Awesome! Let’s hope they maintained that style throughout the entire film. The gorgeous shots of Pittsburgh in the Next Three Days are going to be tough to beat, but we have high hopes for Abduction after the scenes we saw of Lautner speeding across the bridge on a crotch rocket.

PPG Place is clearly the superstar of this picture.

Abduction Movie Trailer With Taylor Lautner

Abduction is a thriller that focuses on a youth (Taylor Lautner) who discovers the parents who raised him aren’t his real folks, a revelation that triggers events and leaves him running for his life.

Starring: Taylor Lautner, Lily Collins, Alfred Molina, Sigourney Weaver, Michael Nyqvist & Maria Bello
Directed By: John Singleton

Aww isn’t that cute, they have Jacob wearing a Pirates shirt.

Those were unboring times when Abduction was filming in Pittsburgh. It actually looks like it might be a good movie – despite everyone’s haterism toward the Twilight star. Can’t deny John Singleton and Sigourney Weaver’s skills on the silver screen though. And hey, Phil Collins’ daughter is in it. BTW, since filming the movie together, Collins and Lautner are dating… just in case you care.

“Finding Taylor (Lautner) is My Drug” Video

The craziness continues (and will continue until the end of August). This video was put together by two local college girls on a mission to find Taylor Lautner in Pittsburgh.

We drove throughout the entire city of Pittsburgh one weekend searching for Taylor Lautner’s filming location, only to be unsuccessful. But because of this failure, we created this Ke$ha parody about our quest for Taylor. Enjoy!

Even if you don’t care about the dude, there are a lot of Pittsburgh mentions throughout the song. If you don’t care about Pittsburgh or the dude, then don’t even bother clicking – unless of course you simply want to see two girls running around the Burgh having a good time… then you can mute it and just watch. We kid the girls! The lyrics and video are creative attempts to get Mr. Lautner’s attention – hopefully it works out for them!

Taylor Lautner Filming in Mount Lebanon

Taylor Lautner filming "Abduction" on Osage Road in Mount Lebanon

Haddad's and ABX trucks on Osage Road for Abduction

If you haven’t heard, Taylor Lautner is stationed in Pittsburgh for a bit. We took a trip up to Mount Lebanon over the weekend to check out the Abduction filming action up on Osage Road. They don’t shoot on the weekends, so the place was on the quiet side.

Despite rumors that Lautner was staying in a house  there, only four or five small groups of girls were strolling around, trying their best to be as inconspicuous as possible. As it turns out, the Twilight superstar is probably staying in a hotel and not living anywhere near Virginia Manor. We were told that the house they were filming in (on Osage Road) supposedly belongs to the CEO of American Eagle Outfitters.
