Top Ten Things (for Kids) in Pittsburgh

Here’s an awesome video by a 13 year old kid from Cranberry. Watch as he counts down the top 10 things to do in Pittsburgh. Ok, we know a lot of you will say 9 out of 10 of these suggestions are pretty boring – but it’s not the kid’s fault! Please keep in mind that this is Pittsburgh we’re talking about, and the list was intended for kids. Just enjoy the video!

  • #10 The Duquesne Incline – Did you know it’s a national historic landmark that opened in 1877.
  • #9 Just Ducky Tours – You can ride in a World War II amphibious truck while touring the City of Champs on land and rivers.
  • #8 The Pittsburgh Zoo – Did you know our zoo opened in 1898 and has 4,000 different species of animals (70 of which are endangered).
  • #7 The Carnegie Museum of Natural History – Did you know it was opened in 1896, is home to the largest display of Jurassic dinosaurs!
  • #6 The Carnegie Science Center -  Did you know this place also has a mini railroad village, planetarium, World War II submarine, and one of  the largest movie theaters you’ll ever see.
  • #5 Sandcastle – Did you know it was built on an abandoned steel mill and it is home to the world’s largest hot-tub (err, toilet? jk)
  • #4 Watch the Pens play at Mellon Arena – Did you know it has been home to the Penguins since the team was founded? And now it’s on the verge of being torn down.
  • #3 Watch the Pirates plat at PNC Park – You can see a picture perfect view of the city while watching your home team lose.
  • #2 Watch the Steelers play at Heinz Field – Did you know we have more rings than you? Here we go Steelers!
  • #1 Kennywood – Did you know it originally opened in 1898 as a trolley park? Now it’s one of two nationally recognized historic amusement parks.

Well done! This video is much better than most of the spam on YouTube. Did you notice the kid’s wardrobe change throughout the presentation?
